This Poster was designed in collaboration with Doddington Hall Estates in Lincolnshire to demonstrate the ethos behind the start of their new 100 year Rewilding Project. By using the silhouettes of people made up of the flora and fauna of native wildlife it highlights the close links between our wellbeing and that of our wild places. The project aims to increase biodiversity and support the ecosystem whilst encouraging access to green spaces for as many people as possible to support education and mental health. This poster is now part of a permanent exhibition of 20 posters all by different artists covering the same theme currently on display in the wagon shed at Doddington. It is well worth a visit and handily placed beside the cafe and on route to the walking trails around the rewilding land. I am excited to see how this longterm project develops and thrilled to have been involved at the start. The second sketch below shows the amazing diversity of the springtail family of soil creatures, all under 2 mm in size and an important part of the soil ecosystem which recycles the nutrients in decaying vegetation to make nutrients available for new plant growth. I incorporated a section focussing on their lives at the bottom of the main poster.
